How To Deal With This

Loneliness is a common problem nowadays. It is a state which can lead to depression and psychological problems. It can occur to anyone, at any given time. If you are battling with loneliness, you can step up and take action, to change the way you feel. Remember, only you have the power to overcome this feeling.

It is very human to be lonely, in fact, It’s something every being has either undergone or will go through. But habitual/chronic loneliness can have severe health repercussions.

Acceptance

For starters, the first thing that you need to do is accept the fact that you are lonely. Do not run away or come up with excuses to hide your feelings. But instead, face it head-on and learn to express your feelings. Loneliness is a mental problem, therefore when you accept and deliberate your feelings, you will be able to point out what is causing it.

Identify people to be with when you are lonely.

Make a list of family members and friends who bring positive energy in your life. Allow your self to confine to these people when you feel like you don’t have anyone to talk to. Again avoid confiding only to one person- think about what will happen if he/she is not available when you call. Forge contact with other people by attending community events in your neighborhood.

Find a hobby

Find yourself a hobby. Enroll for photography, painting or pottery classes. This way you will something to do, during your free time. Again if you do not want to do this, you can use the Internet and join an online community. Here you will have the chance to interact with new people in a virtual world.

Loneliness is temporary. if you’re feeling lonely right now, it doesn’t mean you’ll always that way. You’ve to step out of your comfort zone. Go out and create new bonds.
