1. Salmon

Salmon is a lean fish which provides omega-3 fatty acids and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). DHA is important for memory generation and improved reasoning in the brain. The benefits of salmon include prevention of cancer, high levels of Vitamin D, calcium and omega-3 fatty acids.

2. Soy

Broccoli sprouts are rich in sulforaphane which may prevent inflammation caused by Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, broccoli sprouts are high in folic acid which may reduce the risk of stroke which is related to Alzheimer’s disease. Furthermore, broccoli sprouts are rich in vitamins C and K which help control cholesterol level and prevent Alzheimer’s disease.

8. Oyster Mushrooms

Oyster mushrooms contain mushroom glycoproteins that help fight against inflammation caused by Alzheimer’s disease. Mushroom glycoproteins also help treat stroke which is caused by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Oyster mushrooms also help lower cholesterol level and reduce the risk of dementia.

9. Russet Potatoes

Russet potatoes are high in fiber which helps lower blood sugar and prevent Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, potatoes contain potassium which helps eliminate toxins from the body and lowers blood pressure levels.
